Eric Lin is the VP of Strategy at Patlytics—the premier and market leading AI-powered end-to-end platform for the patent lifecycle offering workflow solutions for litigation, prosecution, licensing, and transactions. In his role, Eric is a part of the executive leadership team and is focused on translating his IP experience to refine Patlytics’ high-impact product and expand its global presence. Eric has over 10 years of experience representing startups to large multinational companies in high-stakes IP and technology-related litigation involving patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and complex commercial claims. At the law firms of Paul Hastings LLP, Morrison & Foerster LLP, and Baker Botts L.L.P., he has led and been a critical member of multiple litigation teams that have obtained favorable resolutions at all case stages, including at trial, summary judgment, and motion to dismiss. Eric’s practice has also extended beyond litigation, including into matters relating to patent prosecution, IP strategy/due diligence, and product counseling. His matters have involved a broad range of technologies, including hardware (e.g., semiconductors, wireless), software (e.g., speech recognition, network security), and biotechnology (e.g., microfluidics for antibody drug discovery) for clients like AbCellera Biologics, Amazon, Nikon, Palo Alto Networks, and TSMC. In his pro bono practice, Eric has litigated civil rights claims, including violations of the U.S. Constitution, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Rehab Act).
