Charles Koole is Partner at Skiermont Derby LLP, where he focuses primarily on patent litigation in the fields of computer software and hardware, telecommunications, and semiconductors. Mr. Koole was previously Senior Patent Counsel at VIZIO from 2017 to 2019, where he managed VIZIO’s patent litigation, licensing, and prosecution, a role that he continues to perform on a seconded basis.

Mr. Koole was previously a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Department of Glaser Weil Fink Howard Avchen & Shapiro LLP in Century City, California, where he represented clients, such as VIZIO, Nero, and Intrado, winning multiple cases on summary judgment and at trial.

Mr. Koole received his J.D. from the University of Southern California, and his B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Calvin College.
