Until its merger with Via Licensing Alliance in April 2023, Larry Horn was President and CEO of MPEG LA, the world’s leading provider of one-stop licenses for standards and other technology platforms.
MPEG LA pioneered the modern-day patent pool, helping to produce the most widely used standards in consumer electronics history with transparent one-stop licensing solutions that provide reasonable access to essential intellectual property, freedom to operate, reduced litigation risk and predictability. MPEG LA also expanded access to other ground-breaking technologies, including EV charging, wireless charging, telecommunications infrastructure, and biotechnology. Its licensing programs consisted of more than 27,000 patents in 109 countries with over 280 patent holders and some 7,300 licensees.
Horn is presently CEO of DRI Biosciences Corporation, whose focus is on reversing neurodegenerative disorders with novel drug therapies ready for human clinical trial that address their root cause.
