Mr. Chuang practiced for 15 years as a patent and intellectual property attorney. His broad background includes patent litigation, patent prosecution, and negotiating domestic and cross-border complex technology and intellectual property transactions for some of the most well-known technology companies in the mobile devices, semiconductor, networking, enterprise software, and E-commerce markets.
Prior to joining RPX, Mr. Chuang was a partner at O’Melveny & Myers, LLP and firmwide chair of its Intellectual Property Transactions Practice Group. Based in its Silicon Valley office, he managed large, multi-disciplinary IP and technology transactions for the firm’s semiconductor, software, media, and internet clients. Additionally, he
provided patent strategy and portfolio analysis to clients and helped them create and implement patent licensing programs. Before that, he was a partner at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LLP where he had similar responsibilities and experiences.
Mr. Chuang received his JD from Harvard Law School and a BSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.
